Graphite electrode is an important steelmaking tool, and its grade classification is an important factor affecting its performance and price. At present, the commonly used international graphite electrode grade classification standards include British BS, American API, Japanese JIS, etc. Among them, China adopts the Japanese JIS standard.
According to the JIS standard, Rongsheng’s graphite electrodes are divided into three grades: RP, HP, and UHP:
1. RP grade: refers to the general use grade of graphite electrodes, suitable for low-temperature furnaces and casting furnaces.
2. HP grade: refers to the high-performance grade of graphite electrodes, suitable for medium and high-temperature furnaces, such as steel smelting furnaces and refining furnaces.
3. UHP grade: refers to the ultra-high performance grade of graphite electrodes, suitable for high-demand occasions such as high-temperature furnaces and ultra-high power arc furnaces.
