Description Of Corundum Castable

The corundum castable is a refractory castable prepared with corundum as the aggregate and powder plus some binders. It has higher mechanical strength and anti-abrasion performance than high-aluminum castables and mullite castables, but its thermal shock resistance is slightly inferior. It is mainly used in boilers, blast furnace stoves, heating furnaces, ceramic kilns and other kilns. Furnace lining material.

The using temperature of corundum castables is in the range of 1550-1600°C.
