Description Of Corundum Castable
The corundum castable is a refractory castable prepared with corundum as the aggregate and powder plus some binders. It has higher mechanical strength and anti-abrasion performance than high-aluminum castables and mullite castables, but its thermal shock resistance is slightly inferior. Application Of Corundum Castable
The using temperature of corundum castables is in the range of 1550-1600°C. It is mainly used for lining materials of various high-temperature kiln furnaces and high-temperature structures, such as the immersed tube outer lining of molten steel vacuum degasser, spray metallurgy and argon blown overall linings.
