Brief Description
Semi-silicon brick is a kind of Quartz clay brick using bonding clay as the binding agent, which is with 15- 30% Al2o3 and over 65% Sio2, semi-silicon brick is the common refractory brick and has refractoriness of 1670 degrees and load softening point of not less than 1250 degrees. Conpared with the silica, the semi-silicon brick is better in resistance to rapid cooling and Volume stability, as we know, the Volume stability is the mainly advantage for the Semi-silicon brick.
Manufacturing Technology
1) According to the quality of raw materials and conditions of use of the finished product, when using natural silica clay or pyrophyllite, you can decide add clinker or not and we also choose to make the brick by using the direct raw material bricks or addeing the clinker to ingredients.
2) The highest firing temperature will vary according to the characteristics of raw materials , usually using low temperature firing, the temperature is 150 ° C lower than the clay brick with lower firing temperature, generally not more than 1200 ° C, slowly cooling after firing.
3) The pyrophyllite raw material has less water (<7%), the whole leaf wax stone or a small amount of combined clay ingredients, the mud material has low moisture and poor bonding performance.
